Optical Holograms

Optical holograms are made by illuminating an object with laser light and recording the resulting interference pattern on film. The complete three-dimensional information of the object is stored permanently, and can be viewed from many angles without any additional device.

Analog Hologram

Recorded by shining a laser directly on a real object. The object appears as if it were inside the film.

Digital Hologram

Created from 3D digital data without a physical object, making it possible to render images that do not exist in reality.

Transcending Boundaries · Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. · March 5 – April 10, 2026
Gallery ARTRIE HEYRI

Using monochromatic green analog holography, GREEN SCALE invites viewers to explore the threshold between illusion and reality, while reflecting on existentialism and nihilism. The exhibition presented kinetic hologram works, expanding the expressive possibilities of analog holography.
